Jenelle Evans’ Son Jace Allegedly Pulled Gun on Grandma Barbara Evans

Disturbing new details have emerged about what led former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ eldest son to be admitted into a mental health facility.

Jace, 16, reportedly threatened to kill himself and his grandmother, Barbara Evans, in a terrifying incident involving a gun, according to TMZ.

The outlet also claimed there were “concerns about possible substance abuse,” reporting that Jace may have been drinking and using drugs.

Jace — whom Jenelle, 34, shares with ex Andrew Lewis — was admitted into a mental health facility on February 22 after law enforcement was called for a report of a “troubled teen disturbance.”

The teenager has had a difficult upbringing, primarily surrounding the battle between Jenelle and Barbara over custody of him. While Barbara raised Jace since infancy, she was in and out of court for more than a decade as the former reality star fought to regain custody of her eldest son.

Ultimately, Jenelle — who also shares son Kaiser, 11, with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith, and daughter Ensley, 9, with ex-husband David Eason — was awarded custody in 2023. However, after Jace attempted to run away multiple times, partially due to conflicts with Eason, he returned to live with his grandmother.

“At this time, we have no comment on the matter. We’re unable to discuss this issue because it involves confidential personal matters,” a rep for Jenelle told TMZ.
