Jada Pinkett Smith Tells Daughter Willow She Had ‘a Little Porn Addiction’ Before She Was Married
TMI moment. Jada Pinkett Smith admitted on her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, that she used to be obsessed with pornography.
“If I was still on my porn game, I’d be able to show you some good porn, ‘cause back in the day, I had a little porn addiction,” the 47-year-old said while speaking with her two guests — her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith.
However, the Girls Trip star admitted that she watched the X-rated content before she was married to Will Smith in December 1997. “I wasn’t in a relationship when I had a porn addiction, believe it or not.”
The mom of two revealed she started talking about the controversial topic with her daughter while looking at her webpage. “I remember the first time I went on Willow’s Tumblr, and she was 10 or 11. She was very matter of fact. She was like, I am going to my Tumblr page, but as we are going to the Tumblr page, she was like, ‘You’re going to see a lot of stuff. This has nothing to do with me.’ When I tell you, I saw some of the most hardcore pornography on Tumblr. I saw some hardcore stuff. I was like, ‘I can’t believe kids are exposed to this on a daily basis.’ I was profoundly disturbed.”
Then, the three ladies took their opinions to the table. “I was using addiction a little lightly,” Jada clarified. “I had an unhealthy relationship to porn at one point in my life when I was trying to practice abstinence. It was actually, like, filling like an emptiness … but it’s actually not.”
Adrienne also chimed in explaining that porn helped her as well. “To me, there is something about porn that is unnatural. I don’t look down on people that use it, but it’s been beneficial for me too,” she said. “I grew up in a household that just created a lot of shame. It definitely was like that for me. There is something about it that was freeing, but there is also part of, like, this is a time where you need to have really, really good girlfriends.”
Willow also didn’t hold back when her mom asked if she knew people who were fascinated with porn. “I mean, I have two brothers … They are not addicted to porn, but I’ve done [seen] some stuff!”
Well, these ladies definitely didn’t hold back!
