General Hospital star Steve Burton and his ex-wife Sheree Burton’s alleged private texts arguing about his fiancée, Michelle Lundstrom, were exposed in court.

In Touch obtained the alleged texts submitted as evidence by Steve, 54, as part of the exes’ bitter custody battle, which ignited months after they hashed out a divorce deal.

In one alleged message, dated October 22, 2024, Steve wrote to his ex as they argued over custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, “Sheree you have to stop this … I work my ass to take care of everyone. Everyone. You moved and moved back and I’m not sure what world we’re living in where that is not the truth, and it’s documented.”

Steve accused Sheree of convincing him to move to Tennessee but then moving back after he gave up his lease in California. He claims she has made it hard to take Brooklyn to Tennessee.

In his alleged message, he continued, “Texts, people bank records … what’s going on here. Not one person believes I talked you into moving? You think it’s ok to behave this way and actually tell you lawyer that and that is troubling. And now you think not alternating holidays is right and that’s ok?”

In an alleged text, Sheree wrote back, “Enough already with the moving and moving back. Nobody is saying I didn’t buy a house there. It was a horrible decision and you know darn well you kept telling me ‘the future is not in California.’”

The alleged message continued, “I literally came back to California after two weeks in October of 2023. You had a house until May 2024 and you still chose to get out early because you couldn’t get to Tennessee fast enough. You said you want to be there.”

Sheree added, “You’re just upset because I messed up your plan to be closer to your girlfriend. That’s fine. Live where you want but please stop already with the I moved and moved back. Everybody knows it makes zero sense for you to be there. Zero. You want to be there so take responsibility for once and stop blaming me for everything.”

She ended, “I accommodate every single time you want to see Brooklyn. I never stop you. I guarantee you if it was turned around you would not do the same for me.”

Steve replied, “lol. Fuzzy facts. You left early because Jason had a job and I left my job. I got out of my lease like you were trying to remember? Because we agreed to move.”

He added, “You’re so angry you stopped saying her name and have to say ‘girlfriend’ Geesh. Remenber when you would say Michelle and then stopped. Please get help.” Steve revealed his relationship with Michelle, 43, in early 2024.

In January, Steve proposed to Michelle, who works as a content creator.

As In Touch previously reported, Steve filed for divorce from Sheree in 2022 after 23 years of marriage. The exes share three children: two adults named Makena and Jack, and Brooklyn. Steve and Sheree executed a settlement in December 2023.

Per their agreement, the exes were to share joint legal and physical custody. Steve also agreed to pay $10,000 a month in support for Brooklyn and $50,000, paid out in installments, to his ex. As In Touch first reported, in November 2024, Steve rushed back to court accusing Sheree of making it difficult for him to spend time with Brooklyn despite the 50/50 custody arrangement.

In addition, Steve claimed Sheree asked if he would move from California to Tennessee. He said his ex bought a home and made it appear she planned to move permanently.

Steve said he gave up his lease and kicked out the tenant he had in his Tennessee rental. The actor said he left his job on Days of Our Lives and got a new job in Tennessee.

Steve told the court, “I would not have moved to Tennessee and completely changed my life had it not been for Sheree’s decision to move there.”

In his filing, Steve claimed Sheree moved back to California despite him uprooting his entire life.

He said after she moved back, she has refused to allow him to take Brooklyn to Tennessee to spend time with her. Steve admitted he works in California but said he doesn’t have a home, which makes exercising his custody time difficult.

Sheree called Steve’s claims about the move to Tennessee “disingenuous.” She said Steve spent most of his time in California and worked in the state. She said she did not oppose Brooklyn traveling for holidays or vacation but did not want her flying during school.

“He often makes plans with Brooklyn without discussing them with me first. If and when he does tell me, it is often at the last minute and/or in front of Brooklyn in an effort to force my compliance with his demands,” she said. “This is not coparenting, but coercive parenting.”

In December, the exes attended mediation but did not reach a deal. The court ordered Brooklyn was allowed to travel to Tennessee to spend time with Steve in late December.

Steve and Sheree worked out a deal regarding custody of Brooklyn for February but it appears the battle is ongoing.
