Fans of ABC’s The View are not happy with its choice of guest host, Savannah Chrisley — especially after she defended President Donald Trump’s administration in a discussion about the Epstein Files.
On Monday, February 16, The View announced on its social media that the former Chrisley Knows Best star, 28, would be joining the show for a week as a guest host starting Tuesday. It didn’t take long before fans took to the comment section of the post to voice their displeasure at having her be a panelist.
“I usually don’t miss a day with my ladies of [The View] but I have no interest in the views of [Savannah],” one commenter wrote.
“Whose brilliant idea was this? I will take a hard pass on watching this week!” another added.

“I won’t be watching. Some people do not need a platform,” someone else wrote.
Savannah has become a controversial figure in recent years following the conclusion of her family’s reality show. Her famous parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to 12 and seven years in federal prison, respectively, after they were convicted on charges of bank and tax fraud offenses. However, they were issued a pardon by Trump, 79, after Savannah lobbied the White House.
In her debut on Tuesday, Savannah differed from her fellow panelists on the subject of the release of the Epstein Files by arguing that the Trump administration has been “transparent” in the release of the documents and bashing Bill and Hillary Clinton, alleging they are “in fact, trying to twist things and get sound bites from a public hearing.”

It didn’t take long before people took to the episode’s YouTube comments to further question the decision to include Savannah on the show.
“Why is she on?” one user wrote. “You guys made the biggest mistake.”
“I don’t think the view should be inviting anyone from crime families to cohost,” another wrote.
“Huge fan will always watch, but this was a mistake. Having her on the show while her parents just defrauded, millions upon millions of dollars and got away with it simply because she goes on television and acts as a spokesperson for Trump,” a third user wrote in part.
