Chris Brown Ends His Relationship With Karrueche Tran Over Rihanna

It’s no surprise that Chris Brown is still smitten for his former girlfriend Rihanna, and now his closeness with the Barbadian beauty has cost him his relationship with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
 
Karreche has been dating Chris since mid-2011, but their relationship has taken a turn for the worse following Chris’ newfound friendship and frequent sightings around town with his ex.
 
"I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna,” Chris revealed in a statement. “I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives."
 
Chris and Rihanna’s tumultuous relationship has been controversial since the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer assaulted Rihanna in February of 2009.
 
Following a restraining order, court appearances and many rumors that the pair have been secretly dating since — even sporting similar new tattoos — Chris and Rihanna have been spotted getting cozy again.
 
“We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will,” Rihanna admitted to Oprah in August. “We've been working on our friendship again and now we're very close friends,” she said.
 
Karrueche hinted at the couple’s breakup with a Twitter post last night that read, “Bye baby.”
