Cardi B Claps Back at Haters for Complaining That She Trademarked ‘Okurrr’: ‘Ima Get This MFing Bag!’

She’s about her paper! Cardi B has filed to trademark her popular catchphrase “okurrr” and apparently, she’s catching major flak for it. After being subject to backlash online for her decision, the rapper took to social media with a video passionately clapping back at her haters.

The 26-year-old set the record straight about a few things and put all of her naysayers on blast. “Wait, wait, wait, so you hoes is mad because I trademarked ‘okurrr’? Let me tell you something, every single time I go to the corporate meeting, these folks be like ‘oh my god can we just please hear you say okurrr?’ Every time I go to a TV show, ‘hey, hey, can you teach me how to say okurrr?'”

“Every time I go do a commercial, ‘hey can you finish it off with okurrr?’ You think I ain’t going to profit off this s–t?” Cardi continued, “Bitch, white folks do it all the f–king time. So you want to be mad at me because I want to get some f–king money?”

“Let me tell you something,” the former Love & Hip Hop alum concluded. “While I’m still here, I’m going to secure all the f–king bags. Let me give ya’ll a secret too. It’s 2019 bitches. There’s a lot of ways to get rich. Ya’ll gotta get yourself some business and stop minding f–king others. Ima get this MFing bag while I’m here.”

According to Rolling Stone, Cardi’s clothing trademark would cover “T-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, pants, shorts, jackets, footwear, headgear, namely hats and caps, blouses, bodysuits, dresses, jumpsuits, leggings, shirts, sweaters and undergarments.” On top of that, Cardi even submitted paperwork for legal rights of the misspelled word, “Okurr.” Thorough!

Cardi previously revealed how to master the phrase like a pro while appearing on The Tonight Show. She said it should sound “like a cold pigeon in New York City.” Not too tricky, right?
