Bunnie Xo is choosing to look at her divorce as a “blessing.”
On Thursday, August 20, the podcast host visited the Today show to discuss her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, and her high-profile split from Jelly Roll.
While opening up about her recent divorce, Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, said, “I know when something like that that’s deeply personal happens, it’s a beautifully tragic, but at the same time there’s always a silver lining, there’s always something better to look forward to.
“There’s so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives,” she added.
The podcast host also mentioned she still “definitely” wants to have a baby.

“That’s going to be one of my newest chapters of my next book, and I can’t wait for you guys to read about it because it’s been one hell of a journey, let me tell you,” she said.
Bunnie didn’t specify if Jelly Roll was still involved in those plans.
The “Save Me” singer and podcast host finalized their divorce on July 17, two months after filing in Williamson County, Tennessee. Within the court records, the two split due to irreconcilable differences.
When their divorce was first announced, the two seemed to be on good terms considering she called the country star her “best friend” in a since-deleted episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. However, Bunnie has since publicly moved on and the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Bunnie and Jelly Roll first met backstage at a concert in August 2015. Their connection hadn’t turned romantic until the following summer. The two had only been dating for a month before they got married in Las Vegas.
They were married for 10 years before deciding to go their separate ways.
