Family of five! Brittany Mahomes gave birth to baby No. 3 with husband Patrick Mahomes, the couple announced on Monday, January 13.
Brittany, 29, and Patrick, 29, shared a photo holding onto their newborn’s tiny feet, revealing her name is “Golden Raye Mahomes” and that she was born on Sunday, January 12.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was able to be there for his daughter’s birth, as the team secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs, earning them a week-one bye, while other teams started their playoff runs starting on January 11.

Golden’s moniker follows the theme of the couple’s older children’s names, as Patrick and Brittany welcomed daughter Sterling Skye on February 20, 2021, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III on November 29, 2022.
The couple announced that their family was expanding in a July 12, 2024, Instagram post. They were joined by their kids while coordinating in off-white outfits, as the children ran around the set of the photoshoot holding Brittany’s sonogram pictures.
“Round three, here we come,” the former personal trainer wrote in the caption.
On July 19, Brittany and Patrick shared an Instagram video of their gender reveal party. The family played a game of tic-tac-toe on a large display that revealed pink Xs or blue Os when the squares were turned.
Sterling turned the boxes until three Xs showed she was getting a baby sister. Patrick threw his arms in the air with joy, although Sterling didn’t appear smiling or overly excited, failing to crack a smile in the celebrations following the reveal.
In the comments, fans were already guessing what the little girl would be named considering her older siblings’ monikers. Several guessed “Goldie” while others chose “Rose Gold,” and it turned out there were right on the mark.
Patrick revealed that baby No. 3 would round out their family and the couple weren’t planning on having any more children.
“I’m done. I’ll say that. I said three [kids] and I’m done,” the three-time Super Bown champ said with a smile to reporters ahead of training camp in July 2024.
“No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young,” he added about the impending arrival.

Patrick said in a December 25, 2024, clip posted by Netflix that his wife was due “any day now.”
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season, so I’ve gotta try not to put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye. And hopefully God works the right way, and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and everything will work out perfectly,” the two-time NFL MVP explained ahead of his team’s Christmas day game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs came out on top 29-10, securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the bye week that Patrick and Brittany were hoping for.
Brittany was in the stands supporting her husband throughout the 2024 season, appearing at all of his home games at Arrowhead Stadium, along with their children. The Chiefs hope to make history in February 2025 by taking home their third consecutive Super Bowl win, something no franchise has ever done. Their first playoff game is on Saturday, January 18, where the Chiefs will face off at thome against the Houston Texans.
