Brad Pitt Was Spotted Drinking at Taylor Swift’s Wedding Weeks Before Admitting He’s No Longer Sober
Brad Pitt gave up alcohol in 2016 after a drunken incident with ex-wife Angelina Jolie — however, the actor admitted in a recent interview with Esquire that he’s “back off the wagon” after years of sobriety.
While Pitt, 62, did not reveal exactly when he started drinking again, sources told Page Six they saw the Ocean’s Eleven star indulging at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding on July 3.
The actor — who attended the Madison Square Garden nuptials with girlfriend Ines de Ramon — opened up about his decision to consume alcohol in his interview with Esquire published on Monday, August 10.
“I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon,” Pitt confessed with a laugh. “In a more restrained manner. I got overconfident a couple times, went, ‘Yep, nope, not good for me.’ Not in big quantities.”
He added that he “can have a few” glasses of wine, “but I can’t have a lot.”
In a 2019 profile with the New York Times, Pitt opened up about joining a 12-step program for alcohol.
“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,” he told the outlet.
