Ever since news of Burt Reynolds passing broke, countless celebrities have taken to social media to remember the late actor. One fan, in particular, Beth Chapman, was with him just a few weeks ago. The Dog the Bounty Hunter star took to Instagram to share a photo with him alongside her husband, Duane

“Very very sad that #BurtReynolds has died,” the 50-year-old wrote on Sept. 6. “This photo taken three weeks ago is something I will treasure. He was kind, charming, lucid, and funny. What an amazing talent gone too soon #RIP ❤️.”

Fans immediately began commenting on the sweet tribute, with one person writing, “Thank you for sharing this great picture… It’s so sad that Burt has passed…? He was a gentle soul..? I’m keeping happy thoughts about him… ? Much love sent your way, Beth, and Dwayne.” Another added, “So blessed you got to meet him, wonderful Hollywood icon gone too soon xx @mrsdog4real thanks for sharing this pic,” and a third chimed in, “So sad to see he is gone but not forgotten! It’s a great picture to have. ?”

On Aug. 11, the reality star shared another pic with Reynolds, who wore a blue shirt, embellished jacket, and rose gold glasses. “Seriously the highlight of my day,” she wrote at the time. “Burt Reynolds #Bubbafest come see us tomorrow #PigeonForgeTn.”

On Sept. 6, a source told Us Weekly that the Smokey and the Bandit actor went into cardiac arrest at a hospital in Florida on Thursday. His family was by his side.

After a successful run on television, the 82-year-old broke onto the big screen with his role in Deliverance. He became a household name, however, for his roles as an imprisoned football star in The Longest Yard and as a truck driver in Smokey and the Bandit.

“It’s a tough business. Very tough,” Reynolds told USA Today back in March. “But I always tried to leave a good impression wherever we shot, and I didn’t leave any buildings burning or anything. And I’ve had a good time through it all.” RIP.
