Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Reunite to Spend Thanksgiving Together Amid His Divorce From J. Lo

Amid Ben Affleck’s divorce from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez, he spent Thanksgiving with his other former wife, Jennifer Garner. The two teamed up to help pass out food to the unhoused community in Los Angeles with the Midnight Mission organization on Thursday, November 28.

“Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving!” the organization wrote on its official Instagram account. “Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community.” Ben, 52, and Jennifer, 52, wore matching white aprons and posed next to each other in a photo from their charitable day.

It was a family affair for the exes, who were joined by their three children – Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 – for the occasion.

Ben and Jen have remained amicable since their 2015 split. In addition to attending events together for the sake of their children, the 13 Going on 30 star led the charge to get Ben into rehab in 2018 and has been a source of support during his divorce. J. Lo, 55, filed to end the pair’s two-year marriage in August.

The details of the divorce are still being ironed out, and a source exclusively told In Touch that the estranged couple may still spend time together this holiday season. “Even though [Jen] and Ben aren’t together, she’s still planning to treat him and his kids like family,” the insider explained. “That means loads of extravagant presents and big gatherings with home-cooked meals.”

Ben and Jen Garner’s three kids are close with J. Lo’s twins, Max and Emme, and the blended family is important to J. Lo, according to In Touch’s source. “Jennifer’s determined not to let the pain of the divorce dictate her actions,” the insider added. “She has so much love for Ben and his kids, and her kids feel the same way, so she really wants to have a celebration with all of them together. She wants to prove they can consciously uncouple and for her that means having a special holiday celebration together.”

Meanwhile, Jen Garner has been quietly dating her boyfriend, John Miller, on and off since 2018, and a source exclusively told In Touch in October that they’re secretly planning a wedding. “Jennifer is finally putting the focus back on herself and everyone is happy to see it,” the source said. “She’ll never be a diva, but she deserves to be the center of attention after putting Ben first for so long.”

The insider said that Jen checked out wedding venues and went dress shopping during a trip to Paris in September. “Jen and John have taken a lot more trips to Europe than people realize,” the source added. “Paris is one of their favorite escapes and they’ve decided getting married there this coming spring is something they want to do.”

However, the two have kept their relationship extremely private and low-key, so no official engagement or wedding details have been shared publicly.
