TLC viewers can’t get enough of TikTok star Baylen Dupree! Her docuseries, Baylen Out Loud, is coming back for season 2. In Touch takes a deep dive into what fans can expect on the new season, including the reason for the quick renewal before season 1 was finished airing.

When Did ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Get Renewed for Season 2?

TLC confirmed Baylen Out Loud would be returning for a second season on February 24, 2025.

“We are incredibly proud of the success of Baylen Out Loud and are pleased to announce its renewal for a new season,” Howard Lee, chief creative officer, U.S. networks, said in a statement to Variety. “Baylen’s journey embodies TLC’s dedication to highlighting people from all walks of life, offering remarkable, yet relatable stories. Her transparency, humor and strength have truly connected with viewers, and she continues to inspire us all.”

The show premiered on January 13, 2025, and racked up an impressive audience of 14.7 million viewers across linear and streaming via TLC and MAX, Variety reported. The season 1 finale airs on March 10, 2025. TLC made the renewal announcement when there were still three episodes left to go in the show’s debut season.

Baylen Dupree Shared Her Reaction to ‘Baylen Out Loud’ Being Renewed for Season 2

The reality star was over the moon when she received news that Baylen Out Loud would be back for a second season on February 24, 2025.

Baylen shared a video to her Instagram page taking a call where a man’s voice could be heard on the other side of the line.

“I got an urgent call from TLC, and they want me to share some very important news. Season 2 of Baylen Out Loud is officially confirmed,” the man said as Baylen sat in the living room of her Washington, D.C. apartment.

“No! No really?” she responded followed by high-pitched joyful squeals. “Oh my God, wait! Oh my God! I’m so excited. I’m so excited,” Baylen said into the camera with a close-up of her excited face.

What Is ‘Baylen Out Loud’ About?

The TLC reality series focuses on social media star Baylen and how she lives with Tourette syndrome. The West Virginia native was diagnosed with the neurological disorder just before turning 18, which causes Baylen to have uncontrollable “tics” ranging from the odd sounds and inappropriate outbursts, as well as seizures. However, she had suffered from the symptoms since childhood.

“After years of feeling self-conscious about her condition, Baylen is finally ready to live freely, embracing her authentic self and showing the world that Tourette doesn’t define her. With the support of her family and friends, Baylen is ready to stretch her wings,” the synopsis of the show read ahead of season 1’s premiere.

Who Is Returning for Season 2 of ‘Baylen Out Loud?’

Baylen’s family played an integral part in season 1 of the show and fans hope to see them back for more.

Her father, Allen Dupree, and her mother, Julie Dupree, were featured heavily in season 1, as they had been taking care of Baylen throughout her battle with Tourette syndrome. However, they had to watch their daughter leave the nest for the first time when Baylen moved in with now-fiancé Colin Dooley. The duo toured their dream apartment in Washington D.C., which was featured on Baylen Out Loud, and she’s since decorated their place with chic decor.

Baylen’s siblings Burke, Sammi, Sven, Vick and Bechnir were also featured on season 1. They adore their sister, but shared how Tourette syndrome affected their interactions.

“Having a sister with Tourette’s is very crazy,” her sister, Sammi, told the show’s producers. “You don’t know if you’re going to get slapped in the face or get a hug.”

“I think it put a little bit of a strain, honestly, on our relationships with like mom and dad,” Sammi explained. “The doctor’s appointments, all the, ‘I can’t go there because I don’t want your sister to be left at home alone or I don’t want …’ You know what I mean?”

She added, “I think it definitely had a little bit of a strain on all of us with mom and dad.”

The youngest Dupree child, Bechnir, revealed, “We even have to give up going out for birthdays because of Baylen’s condition.”

‘Baylen Out Loud’ Could Potentially Feature a Pregnancy

“[Babies are] still on the brain. Well, not every day, but I want babies before 25,” Baylen, then 22, told Us Weekly in an interview on January 9, 2025, ahead of her TLC docuseries. She even joked that the show could potentially feature a pregnancy in the future, although she is not expecting a child just yet. Now that she and Colin are happily engaged, she’s one step closer to building a family.

‘Baylen Out Loud’ Season 2 Doesn’t Have a Premiere Date

Since the reality star got the news that her show is coming back for a second season, cameras have yet to start rolling on Baylen Out Loud season 2 as of February 2025.
