The Bachelorette alum DeAnna Pappas made headlines in late February 2025 for her arrest following an altercation with ex-husband Stephen Stagliano. She later filed a restraining order against the teacher, in which DeAnna declared that Stephen was still a “good father” to their two children despite alleged “past mental health issues.” But who are DeAnna and Stephen’s kids?

DeAnna and Stephen, who tied the knot in 2011, welcomed daughter Addison Marie in February 2014.

“Our little angel is here! Daddy now has two loves in his life! Thank you all for the love and support,” Stephen wrote on Twitter at the time.

DeAnna has since posted plenty of photos and videos of Addison growing up on social media, including a post on February 15, 2025, commemorating the pre-teen’s 11th birthday sleepover.

“My friend over at @beluxeeventssocal transformed my living room into a sleepover haven last weekend for Addison’s 11th birthday. A pink Disco Sleepover! It was adorable and every girl loved it down to each detail,” the reality star captioned the video.

DeAnna continued, “@beluxeeventssocal came and set everything up … I didn’t have to do a thing! Air mattresses, bedding, decorations, the teepee’s, & even the trays for each bed with a glow up sign where Addison wrote every girl’s name for their sleeping area. 10 out of 10!! DeAnna gave birth to her and Stephen’s son, Austin Michael, in March 2016. The former couple named the boy after Stephen’s twin brother, Michael Stagliano.

“His middle name is after Stephen’s twin brother – we wanted to honor him,” DeAnna told People at the time. “I let Stephen choose the name. He really wanted both kids to have ‘A’ names! Both of their initials will be ‘AMS.’”

She continued, “I pushed for three minutes and then was holding my sweet baby boy. I feel lucky to have had two beautiful deliveries thanks to fantastic nurses and my awesome doctor! I am doing well and feeling overjoyed.”

In March 2024, DeAnna paid tribute to Austin on Instagram in honor of his 8th birthday.

“Happy 8th Birthday to my greatest guy!!!” she captioned a compilation video. “This Lego-loving dude is the greatest gift to me! He is so smart, so kind, loves to read, sweet, sensitive, and so funny! I am beyond proud of Austin & even more proud to be his mommy.”

Why Was DeAnna Pappas Arrested?

DeAnna was arrested on a misdemeanor charge on February 27, 2025, after Stephen pressed charges against her for domestic violence, In Touch exclusively reported. She was released the same day on a $20,000 bond.

The arrest came one day after an alleged altercation between DeAnna and Stephen, which the ABC personality detailed in filing for a restraining order on March 7, 2025. She claimed in the paperwork, obtained by In Touch, that Stephen came to her house to pick up their daughter. DeAnna walked Addison to Stephen’s car, and he allegedly asked DeAnna to get closer so that he could smell her breath to see if she had been consuming alcohol, the mom of two claimed.

“I ignored Stephen’s comment, and I walked back into the garage,” DeAnna wrote. “I heard noise behind me. I turned around to see Stephen following me into my garage. [Our daughter] had been left alone sitting in his car with the engine running. I tried to shut my garage door. Stephen pushed my garage door upward so that it would not close. I shouted at Stephen to get out of my garage. Stephen refused to leave.”

DeAnna alleged that she went inside and locked the door but went back to the garage when she heard noises. She claimed that Stephen “grabbed” her and “shoved” her, so she went back inside and locked the door until the police came.

When the police arrived around midnight, Stephen accused DeAnna of being drunk and told them that he was pressing charges against her.

“Stephen had told the Sheriff that I was the aggressor who assaulted him, which was false,” DeAnna claimed. “At no time was I requested to test for alcohol despite Stephen’s allegations. In fact, the officer that arrested me exhibited no concern that I was at all intoxicated.”

DeAnna said that she took a voluntary drug and alcohol test after she was released from jail, both of which came back negative. She also submitted to the court video footage of the altercation with Stephen, which she said was recorded by their daughter. DeAnna asked for Stephen to stay at least 100 yards away from her. He has yet to respond to the petition.

Stephen and DeAnna announced their separation in January 2023. The former couple settled their divorce in June 2024, In Touch exclusively reported at the time.
