The Parks and Recreation actress reportedly welcomed a baby daughter with her partner, Christopher Abbott, last month. In photos shared by TMZ, the actor is seen cradling her child in New York, with a source telling the outlet that the couple welcomed a baby girl.
The Agatha All Along actress was pictured holding her newborn after seeing Abbott in the final Broadway performance of Death of a Salesman on Sunday 9 August. It’s reported that Aubrey gave birth several weeks ago.
“It was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” a source told People magazine in April. They added: “They feel very blessed.”

The couple first worked together in the 2020 psychological drama Black Bear, before later appearing in an off-Broadway revival of John Patrick Shanley’s Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, which ran from 2023 into January 2024. It is unclear how long they have been romantically together before she announced her pregnancy in April 2026.
In an April appearance on the Smartless podcast, Plaza said she was excited to experience motherhood. “I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know?” she said. “It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”
Their daughter comes 19 months after the death of her writer/director husband, Jeff Baena. The Life After Beth filmmaker passed away in January 2025, with the Los Angeles County medical examiner concluding he took his own life. The couple was reportedly separated at the time.
Speaking on her Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler‘s Good Hang podcast last year, Aubrey said: “Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you. Overall, I’m here, and I’m functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I’m ok, but it’s like a daily struggle, obviously.”
