Anna Duggar Was Spotted for the 1st Time in Over 2 Years Visiting Husband Josh Duggar in Prison

Anna Duggar was spotted for the first time in over two years as she visited her husband, Josh Duggar, while he’s incarcerated.

Anna, 36, wore a cream-colored sweater with a brown stripe at the bottom that she paired with blue jeans in the photos obtained by The U.S. Sun. The mom of seven was seen walking out from the Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville in Dallas, Texas, on December 10.

Anna currently lives on Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s compound in Tontitown, Arkansas, with her children while Josh, 36, is behind bars. On December 5, The U.S. Sun described the 19 Kids and Counting star’s home as a “windowless warehouse” and reported that she and Josh began living there before he was arrested on child pornography charges in 2021.

“Anna has been seen bringing her sons to basketball games weekly and watching them play from the stands,” a source told the outlet. “She socializes with people and appears to have made friends with basketball parents.”

Anna still manages to visit Josh quite often despite being over 350 miles away, and she often brings the couple’s seven children along for the visits. The insider told the publication that they’ve “seen Anna at visitation fairly regularly,” and that they’ve “spoken to her a couple of times.”

“Normally the only thing I’ve seen is Anna and then their kids, I don’t really know anybody else,” the source added.

Anna was criticized for her decision to stand by Josh after he was found guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography and sentenced to 122 months in prison in May 2022. She attended all of Josh’s court hearings during the two-week trial and even wrote a letter to the judge asking for leniency in her husband’s sentencing.

“As his spouse of more than 13 years, thank you for taking the time to allow me to share about the man I know and love,” Anna wrote at the time. “There, I admired my husband’s diligence in his work and also his perspective — that people are more important than a quick sale. Joshua would often spend hours out of his day chatting with and listening to various homeless people who would pass by on the sidewalk.”

She continued, “Joshua is an engaged dad who gladly throws a football with his sons, listens to our daughters play a new song they have learned on the piano, helps answer homework questions or lends a hand sweeping up spilled crackers. He is a kind, loving, supportive, and caring father and husband — his primary focus in life. I ask that you consider reuniting us as a family again soon. I understand the seriousness of this matter, however, I respectfully ask that you take this letter into consideration when determining a fair sentence.”

After Josh was sentenced and moved to FCI Seagoville, Anna considered moving to Texas to be closer to him with their children. However, a source told In Touch in 2022 that it was Josh who nixed the idea.

“The problem is that Josh doesn’t want Anna and their kids moving away from his family,” the insider said. “He thinks it will create too much of a disconnection for her and his kids.”
