The Meaning of Christmas! Amy Duggar Shares Plan to Gift Dax’s Old Baby Clothes to a Mom in Need

Sending Christmas cheer. Amy Duggar took to her Instagram Story to share her act of kindness this holiday season. The new mom, 33, said she will be anonymously helping a mother-to-be in need on Sunday, December 22.

“Going through his newborn clothes!” Amy wrote on a pile of her son Dax’s old threads. “There’s an 18-year-old girl who is pregnant and has no one. My little guy is growing so fast!! These will be perfect for her!! I prayed and asked God to send me someone I could really help this season!!!!”

Amy continued on another slide in her Story, “Everyone is saying, ‘Awe [sic] Amy, that’s gonna [sic] be so cool for her to know you are doing this!’” Although, Amy shared her plans to keep her generosity a secret. “But … she actually won’t know [because] the only thing on the card says, ‘Be Blessed, Merry Christmas to you and your baby boy!!’”

Amy frequently gets candid on Instagram and she recently thanked her mom, Deanna Duggar, for helping her raise Dax. “Everyone has sent me messages asking me, ‘Amy, how do you do it all?! You make motherhood look so easy!!’ Although I appreciate those compliments, I’ll be honest with [you] … it takes a village! I’m not a superwoman, and I definitely have help!” she shared in an Instagram caption posted on Monday, December 2.

Amy explained how her mom has been a huge help especially when it comes to feedings and getting some sleep. “My mom comes and takes care of Daxton for three hours in the morning! She comes at 8 a.m. [and] opens my bedroom door with a big tall glass of water, and my hand-held pump! She takes Daxton while I work on my freezer stash! I wash my face, brush my teeth and then I eat oatmeal and hop back into bed!! Without those extra three hours of sleep I don’t think that I could function the rest of the day!”

The brunette beauty continued, “So mom, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate everything you do! Daxton loves spending time with his Nana! It’s so sweet to see a special bond you two already share!” With all the love and support in her life, it’s nice to see her doing the same for others.
