Matt Branistareanu broke his silence about finding out Jasmine Pineda was pregnant with his child on the explosive part 5 of the 90 Day: The Last Resort tell-all reunion.

Matt, 37, appeared via a video chat on the Monday, April 28, tell-all episode. Jasmine, 38, and her estranged husband, Gino Palazzolo, were together in a studio.

The Michigan resident revealed he was “pretty scared” when Jasmine told him she was pregnant.

“So, since I was young, you know, I’m, I’m running from getting married or having children, but I’m getting to the age, you know, where it’s time for me to, to grow up, maybe have kids. But I was definitely scared when she told me,” Matt shared.

Jasmine added that the pregnancy “took us by surprise because we were taking all the precautions. I was, like, we couldn’t believe it was happening.”

The duo announced on April 9, that they welcomed a daughter named Matilda, after publicly announcing Jasmine’s pregnancy to fans on February 18. Sources previously told In Touch in January that she was pregnant with baby No. 3, her first child with Matt. Jasmine also has sons JC and Juance from a past relationship.

During the fiery tell-all episode, Florian Sukaj told Matt he was surprised that he decided to appear on the episode while Gino, 56, was present.

“I know Gino is trying to make you think that I’m some horrible, you know, like a marriage breaker, and I’m not I’m not that type of person,” Matt assured the rest of The Last Resort season 2 cast.

When Matt was asked what he would like to say to Gino, he responded, “I’m not the type of person that’s going to sit here and argue with Gino about what happened there, what happened here. They asked me to come into some open relationship. I agreed. I don’t know. I was just friends with her. I don’t have to go after anybody’s woman or anything.”

Jasmine and Gino spent a good portion of their time on The Last Resort season 2 trying to come to an agreement on an open marriage. The Panama native wanted to bring in Matt for physical reasons after she and Gino had gone months without having sex.

Eventually, Gino agreed but only did so in order to keep Jasmine in his life. The pair ended their season on the TLC show by recommitting to one another and allowing Matt into their marriage as long as he and Jasmine did not fall for one another emotionally.

Gino confirmed he and Jasmine split during part 1 of the 90 Day: The Last Resort tell-all special on March 31.

“Overall, after all this was done, I regret agreeing to open marriage. But I felt like I was trapped in a corner. Like I had to make a decision, take action because nothing was working for us,” Gino explained during part 5 of the tell-all.

When Matt was asked if he felt to blame for the breakdown of Jasmine and Gino’s marriage, he responded, “You know I would care, but the thing is, he treated her bad,” which caused the two men to argue.

Rob Warne posed the biggest question of the night, asking Matt if he loved Jasmine.

“I do. She’s carrying my child. So, I do,” Matt replied. 

Jasmine was unable to say the same with total clarity, revealing she’s still “figuring that out.”

“I don’t know if I’m having an emotional attachment to him. I don’t know if that is love. I don’t even know what love is anymore. I don’t even know what it is for me to be in love. I don’t have an answer for that. I do care about him. I feel safe with him, I feel protected, I feel well taken care and I like that feeling. But I don’t know if I love him,” the Panama native explained.

When Jasmine was asked if she had regrets about entering into an open marriage, the former English teacher unloaded with many regrets.

“I regret everything. I think that I should have been bravest before and I should have just when I knew that I wasn’t being happy, and it was not what I expected when I moved to America. I think that I should have had the courage just to pack my bags and go back to Panama,” she revealed.

Gino and Jasmine were first introduced to TLC viewers in 2021’s season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. After documenting the days leading up to their June 2023 wedding on season 10 of 90 Day Fiancé, the pair continued to share their marital struggles on the franchise, with 90 Day: The Last Resort being their last appearance.
