90 Day Fiancé star Kalani Faagata has made a lot of progress in her relationship with Asuelu Pulaa and is supporting her ex as he starts a new chapter.

“Safe travels and good luck to Asuelu as he starts his new adventure in life,” Kalani, 36, captioned a carousel of photos via Instagram on Monday, March 10. “I’m thankful for how far we have come and how well we coparent. To new beginnings and the best life for our boys!”

In the photos, Asuelu, 29, is seen smiling as he posed with their sons, Oliver and Kennedy, at the San Diego Zoo. Also spotted in the photos was Masina, Kalani’s daughter who she welcomed in June 2024 with her boyfriend, Dallas Nuez.

Although it’s unclear where Asuelu was headed for his “new beginning,” he teased back in January that his visa was “expired” and he was “deporting” back to Samoa.

In a video first posted to TikTok before uploading to Instagram on January 31, he was seated by himself in an empty room near a Department of Homeland Security flag. “I will forever see you my Samoa #deporting,” Asuelu captioned his post. In the video, he can be heard saying, “Tell Samoa, I’m coming. I’m deporting back.”

As for Kalani, she’s been living her best life since splitting from Asuelu on season 1 of 90 Day: The Last Resort. The franchise’s therapy spinoff, which aired from August to October 2023, brought the duo to the franchise one last time to hash out their marital issues. This is where fans learned for the first time that Asuelu had been cheating on Kalani throughout their relationship, including during the two pregnancies of their two children.

Kalani met Dallas, 30, when Asuelu offered his then-wife a “hall pass” to kiss someone else as a Band-Aid remedy to his infidelity. While she did kiss Dallas, things went even further as they had sex and began developing feelings for one another.

“I never meant to stay in touch with this guy, but I’m also not the type of person that can sleep with someone and just forget about it,” Kalani admitted in a confessional during the season. “I’m torn because I really want to make my marriage work with Asuelu but I also can’t seem to bring myself to forgive him.”

Kalani ultimately decided she wanted a divorce from Asuelu during the October 2023 finale episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort and they vowed to maintain a healthy coparenting relationship for their sons.

“The sooner we get divorced, the better for the kids. There’s just nothing more that can be done. Like, I’ve given up,” Kalani said of Asuelu in a solo interview, adding, “I just hope that he can deal with everything and move forward with all of us.”

Since then, Kalani and Dallas have been going strong, making their relationship Instagram official soon after the finale aired. Less than a year later, the 90 Day Fiancé star stunned fans when she announced their daughter’s arrival after keeping her pregnancy a secret.

“Meet our daughter,” she captioned a set of hospital photos in June 2024. Though the 90 Day: The Last Resort alum did not reveal the little girl’s name at the time, she did so one month later by sharing a photo of a sign that read, “Masina Bee.”
