Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, live just steps away from a deadly highway, and fans are concerned for their sons’ safety. The Counting On stars are located in the suburbs of Arkansas, but their .46 acre lot is right next to Interstate 49 — a road known for its deadly car crashes.

On Feb. 10, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported a fatal multi-car crash in the Fayetteville area, where the couple resides. “If you know someone driving NB on I-49 who may be headed toward this area (S of WF exit), please call them and warn them,” they tweeted at the time. ” This is a serious, multi-vehicle accident. SLOW DOWN – DRIVE SAFELY!” Despite the deadly highway being so close to where the Seewalds live, Jessa often posts photos of her children — Spurgeon, 2, and Henry, 1 — playing outside with only trees separating their $200,000 home from the road.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the reality star parents have received backlash for their parenting practices. Just last week, Jessa shared a seemingly innocent video on Instagram of Spurgeon reading, but fans were distracted by Henry playing with the fireplace in the background. “Am I the only one who noticed the baby playing in the fireplace?!” one person wrote. Another added, “So cute. But the baby at the fireplace.” A third chimed in, “Meanwhile, the baby is playing with the fireplace!!” Sigh. Everyone’s a critic!

Soon we’ll be seeing more of this family — and Jessa’s other siblings — when the highly-anticipated new season of Counting On returns to TLC on Monday, Feb. 26. Just don’t expect to see her sister Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard! The reality TV exile was fired for making anti-trans comments about Jazz Jennings.
