Lauren (Swanson) Duggar and Josiah Duggar announced on May 20 that they’re expecting again after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage. “Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!” the couple told People. But the news doesn’t exactly come as a surprise to many Counting On fans.

When Josiah’s sister Jill Duggar shared photos from her birthday celebration on May 17 via Instagram, several fans speculated that her sister-in-law Lauren, 20, was pregnant again. “Had fun celebrating my b’day (& Lauren’s @siandlaurenduggar) this week with the girls!” Jill, 28, wrote at the time. “Thanks @derickdillard for keeping the boys during our girls day out! 🌸🤗💕🎉 #sisters #girlsdayout💕 #birthdayweekbuddies.” In the comments, fan rumors that the other birthday girl was expecting ran rampant thanks to the presence of a possible baby bump on Lauren.

“I could definitely be reaching here, but does Lauren look pregnant to anyone else? 🙊” one fan wrote. “Looks like Lauren’s 🤰” another speculated. And there were plenty more like that strewn throughout the comments.

However, a few fans also criticized the others for wondering whether Lauren was expecting, especially after her miscarriage. “Those asking if Lauren is pregnant … seriously? Back off. If she is, her and her husband will announce it when they are ready and it’s annoying and rude anyways to even ask 🙄🙄.” Well, it seems like they were finally ready.

Plus, back on May 2, Anna Duggar shared a throwback photo of herself, Jill, and Joy-Anna Duggar when they were expecting, and the caption made fans wonder whether even more announcements from the family were coming. “Currently, there are 4 Duggar sisters/sisters-in-law that have shared expectant baby news! 👶🏻” she wrote. “I wonder how many more new cousins will be announced before our little one arrives?!?! 🎊#littleduggars.”

Fans responded to that comment with replies like, “Way to not-so-subtly imply that there are others who have fallen pregnant but are just waiting to announce. 🙃*cough*LaurenandAbbie*cough” and “Lauren, Abbie, Jill will be too possibly Jinger.” So far, no word from Abbie Grace Burnett, but when it comes to this family and new babies, anything could happen.
