Jenelle Evans Shares a Sweet Pic of Jace and Maryssa’s Birthday Party but Fans Can’t Get Over This One Photo Fail

Sometimes it feels like Jenelle Evans really can’t win. While some of Teen Mom 2 fans’ concerns about her kids’ safety or happiness is justified, it seemed a little crazy when they started going after her for the birthday cake she made her son Jace and stepdaughter Maryssa on July 30. Watch the video above to see why fans are so upset. 

“These kiddos are growing too fast! This week they will be turning nine and 11,” Jenelle wrote, showing a cake with their respective ages behind them. “Thanks for everyone who joined us! ???.” While many fans were worked up over the cake, others thought there weren’t enough of them.

“Should have gotten two cakes,” said one disappointed fan. Another agreed, writing, “One cake for both of them? Boy and a girl, I think you should celebrate your own son separately. With all the crazy stuff you do, you never know when you can celebrate his birthday with him.”

The fan is referring to the face that Jenelle doesn’t have custody of her son Jace; her mom does. Jenelle only gets to spend every other weekend with her little boy, which means she misses things like his first day of school, and even Mother’s Day this year, when he gave a card to his grandma instead. Other fans don’t think it’s fair to keep bringing that up.

“They all look so happy forget what everyone is saying negative ? we all make mistakes as parents no one parents the same,” said a supporter. Jace does seem happy on his special day, so maybe we just need to let this one go, okay guys?
